Xindi (Cindy) Hu, ScD

Cindy is an environmental data scientist with extensive experience in both academia and industry. She loves conducting rigorous, policy-relevant research using environmental and health big data. She launched the WHO Lab in 2024. Before coming to GW, she was a principal data scientist in a public policy research organization.

Yanhua is a statistics graduate student at George Washington University with a passion for environment and data-driven solutions. She researches environmental compliance and public health as part of the WHO Lab and has worked on climate data analysis.

We are seeking a postdoctoral associate to join our team and work on projects in one of two areas: investigating the health impacts of drinking water contamination to inform policies and improve public health, or using water as a tool to monitor and enhance community health through wastewater-based epidemiology and promoting clean water intake.
