Xindi (Cindy) Hu, ScD

Cindy is an environmental data scientist with extensive experience in both academia and industry. She loves conducting rigorous, policy-relevant research using environmental and health big data. She launched the WHO Lab in 2024. Before coming to GW, she was a principal data scientist in a public policy research organization.

Jahred Liddie, PhD

Jahred is an environmental health scientist and postdoctoral associate in the WHO lab passionate about drinking water quality, environmental justice, and public health. He completed his PhD in population health sciences from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and has experience in sustainability consulting.

Katherine O’Brien, MPH

Katherine is a PhD candidate in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health, with research interests centering on climate change, infectious disease prevention and transmission, and health equity. Her prior research focused on both natural and built environmental drivers of visceral leishmaniasis in Kenya, as well as supporting other projects on leishmaniasis in East Africa and HIV more broadly. Katherine received both her BS and MPH from Northeastern University.
